BOONE, Iowa---A funeral service has been set for 83-year old Mary A. Burkhart of the Hearthstone Memory Care United at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, Iowa and formerly of rural Woodward, Iowa. The service will be held Thursday, May 13th at 10:30 AM at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone, Iowa. Following the service, Mary's request was to be cremated. A private burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date in the People's Cemetery in Woodward, Iowa.
Visitation will be held at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone, Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family will be present to receive friends during that time. An Eastern Star service, conducted by the Perry Faithful Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will be held Wednesday at 7:30 PM at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone.
Visitation Thursday will be held at the Stark-Welin Chapel from 8:00 AM until the time of the service at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial may direct their gift to the Hearthstone Memory Care Unit of the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.

BOONE, Iowa---A funeral service has been seet for 84-year old Edmond R. Bacon, Jr., of Boone, Iowa. The service will be held Monday, May 10th at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Boone, Iowa. Burial will be held at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa. Full Military Honors will be conducted graveside by the Boone Veterans Council.
Visitation will be held at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone, Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a Vigil Service at the Chapel, Sunday at 7:00 PM. The family will be present and will receive friends at the Chapel, Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Visitation Monday will be held at the Chapel from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. The casket will then be moved to the Church of the Sacred Heart for the 10:00 service.
A memorial will be established by the family at a later date.

Burial will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery located west of Boone, Iowa.
