BOONE, Iowa---A funeral service has been set for 62-year old Dennis R. Boyd of Rock Falls, Illinois and formerly of Boone, Iowa. The service will be held Saturday, July 21st at 11:00 AM at the Boone Open Bible Church at 1224 Hancock Drive in Boone. Following the service, Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council at the Veterans Monument and Flag Pole at the Linwood Park Cemetery. Cremation will follow the serviced and burial of the cremated remains will be held at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the Walter~Schroeder Funeral Home at 5th and Story Streets in Boone, Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family will be present and will receive friends at the Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Visitation continues Saturday at the Boone Open Bible Church at 1224 Hancock Drive in Boone from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
