BOONE, Iowa---A funeral service has been set for 80 year old John Edward Hansen Junior of Boone, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 8th at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church at 703 Arden Street in Boone, Iowa. Burial will be held at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa Friday at 9:00 AM, prior to the service at the church.

Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Boone, Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM. The family will be present and will receive friends at the church at that time. There will be a Masonic Rites service Thursday at 7:00 PM, conducted by the Mount Olive Lodge No. 79, AF & AM of Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Boone City Parks Foundation designated for the Skating Pond at Herman Park or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
