BOONE, Iowa---A funeral service has been set for 77-year old Dow Duncan of Boone, Iowa. The service will be held Saturday, May 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Central Christian Church at 8th and Greene Streets in Boone, Iowa. Following the service, there will be a formal folding and presentation of the U.S. Flag by the Boone Veterans Council. The body will be cremated at the request of the deceased. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at the Mineral Ridge Cemetery near Ridgeport, Iowa at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the Central Christian Church at 8th and Greene in Boone, Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The family will be present and will receive friends at the church from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Visitation Saturday will continue at the Church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
Memorials may be directed to the family, to be used at their discretion in hopes to establish a dialysis treatment option in the city of Boone, Iowa.
The Walter~Schroeder Funeral Home at 5th and Story Streets in Boone is in charge of these arrangements.
